30.10.2013 Lukasz-Lindstedt fall in close Paris opener

Lukasz and Robert Lindstedt suffered a first-round exit at the BNP Paribas Masters on Wednesday, falling to Max Mirnyi and Horia Tecau.

They lost after two tight sets, both decided in a tiebreaker - 6-7 (3), 6-7 (5), in one hour and 42 minutes.

The match was a close affair. Both teams broke once in the opening set, but the Belarus/Romanian combination was more composed in crucial moments. Mirnyi and Tecau sealed both tie-breaks to move into the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event quarter-finals.

Match statistics: aces (2-2), double faults (9-1), total points won (72-82).

Lukasz beat American Denis Kudla 6-7(0), 6-2, 6-3 in the first round of qualifying singles, but was stopped by top-seeded Robin Haase of Netherlands who won in straight sets 6-2, 7-6(5) for a place in the main draw.
